🗓️This week: There’s been a slow down of good music the past couple of summers, so I’m used to that at least. I am still going to complain, though.

  • Atmos: Just hootin’ and hollerin’. And I love it. Like, if you were to make a “loud-ass kpop” playlist it would be 80% shinee and this is a welcome addition. Because there’s like, god I wanna say tropical house somewhere in the background, because there is something summer-y there, but you got work for it because here comes onew just

  • Thousand Miles Away: ….this song is about Jonghyun, isn’t it. It is very endearing how thoughtful the Shinee boys are in including Jonghyun. I think, maybe, personally, I should not be listening to this right now ^😬

• izna - SET THE TEMPO:

  • METRONOME: It was about time izna got some good fucking music. Yes, it is jumping on the club bandwagon, but this is definitely for the folks who are like “um actually there’s too many sounds going on in yum by kep1er¹” Here, since everything has to be for you, we’ve dumbed it down a bit. This sounds mean, but I do like this song, it’s just that like, wouldve been better if they committed, thasall.

• Janet Jackson - Doesn’t Really Matter (Remix)

  • This…ok, listen. Listen. The remix is that BE:FIRST is on the track now, so this counts as a release. And also like, “Janet Jackson remakes a song she released for an Eddie Murphy cross-dressing sequel and chooses niche kpop boy group to work with” is a CRAZY sentence. I’m sure BE:FIRST was thrilled, though, given how into the Jacksons k-pop idols are.
