📅This week: Thank god, for distractions, amirite. Also, the releases kinda match my emotional journey this week: delusion → rage → denial. Very fun.

  • UNIVERSE: A welcome addition to the roadtrip playlist. You could superimpose this on the You Don’t Know You’re Beautiful music video and no one would question it.

  • 1997: “Aw this is cute, and nostalgic I bet it’s like, that’s when we were in school, first love, etc lemme che- oh, ‘02 leader, ok, well, that’s just rude, we’re peers.”

• THE FIX - TiCKi-TA:

  • Oddventure/TICKI-TA: These songs are just like “let’s go for a run, let’s learn a martial art, we could commit an atrocity, idk, let’s just have fun with it” (or, ah! the apple orchard!)

• MYTRO - LOVESTRUCK SISTERS Episode 5

  • Bomb Bomb Bomb: Ok, so this is technically not a group yet, they still have yet to debut. And also not K-pop, strictly speaking. But it’s good! Lovestruck Sisters was a Survival Show looking to create a group that operates in the K-pop space but performs trot, which is a more traditional style of Korean music. (Please at the very least read through some of that wiki link, it’s really interesting). And again, vaguely latin influenced, so *add to list*. We’re learning so much about my music taste together, y’all.
