XO, My Cyberlove: what did I say last month “a great showcase of Chuu’s vocal ability, musical knowledge, and emotional versatility.” and she’s done it again. Never let it be said that I am jumping on the Chuu bandwagon, I’ve been here. That said, I need to revamp, revisit, nuke from orbit and start from scratch my spring playlist and i can see this being a tone setter.

ChRocktikal - We break, you awake
All in on me: This doesn’t really match the vibe of the rest of the album. The rest of the album is a lovely rock album and then this is the dance music from the Barbie movie. Which was a weird departure for the album, but I do like that neo-retro vibe, so here we are. A bit of additional context, the vocalist for this group is Siyeon from Dreamcatcher which was a more rock leaning girl group that has since moved on to more individual projects4 and this group, chrocktikal, is, like, an actual band. they say the’yre co-ed, but siyeon is the only woman, so… I wish they either were a 50 50 split with a woman on one of the instruments AND that they leaned on the instrument guys for back up vocals more. But that’s just me nit-picking.
