• from20 - 119:

  • I now get a little excited when I see that from20 has a release on the calendar. I don’t follow them on socials so it’s always a fun surprise. Listen to every release every day and you too can get excited about a nugu korean rap collective, i honestly don’t know their deal. This is, like,

• EXO - REVERXE:

  • Suffocate: This is just good old fashioned third gen boys asking to be loved by a woman who seems to hate them. cannot wrong with that formula.

• dodree - Just Like a Dream:

  • Born (本): This duo is so cool, they mix kpop with traditional korean pansori which results in this really ethereal unique to kpop sound. Excited to see what they do next, hope they dont get merked like the other traditionally inspired group, mytro¹

• XG - THE CORE - 核:

  • HYPNOTIZE: This is a fun counterpart to the pre-release, GALA, I imagine it in an early 90’s white void music video with lots camera movement.

• KiiiKiii - Delulu Pack:

  • MUNGNYANG: All of this song is enjoyable, but if they could make it somehow, like, 75% more chorus time. Sounds like they’re casting a spell and I love it.

• Billlie - cloud palace ~ false awakening:

  • cloud palace ~ Before moonset mix: So this release is three versions of the same song. I did not pick up on that on my first listen but in my defense it was still dark outside and I was also working soooo

    but the before moonset version is my favorite, rn. It just matches the vibe of my week better, little more upbeat tempo, crying in the club vibes. They’ve also been teasing this as a pre-release, so I’m hoping more tracks are on their way (and we’re going back to collective soul and unconcious after being stuck in the billlage for like 3 years, i’m excited)²

    • the before moonrise version pulls in the everybody’s got a $ECRET/moon palace motif which, i love a call back, if you haven’t listened to the supplemental soundtrack albums I highly recommend them for focus work:

• i-dle - Mono (feat. skaiwater):

  • This is adorable and cheesy. Between this light-hearted born this way moment and XG’s O.R.B (Obviously Reads Bro) it was a banner week for cheesy bops of acceptance³
